The opportunity

We are currently seeking a National Accounts Manager to be a critical part of growing sales and market share by creating demand for IKO products with regional contractors, regional storm contractors, regional builders and local offices of national builders.  This is a role for an expert communicator with a track record for being a trusted advisor to their clients.  

Who we need

We need a subject matter expert who has sales experience working with builders and property management associations.  This is an opportunity for someone who can organize and execute a business plan to meet sales goals while understanding the pain points of the customer base.  We need an all around salesperson - someone who’s equally adept at developing new business while growing existing contractor/builder conversions.

What you will do

  • Be an expert.  You’ll learn and be able to speak to all IKO products and programs related to the customer base.  
  • Win new business.  By calling on contractors, regional builders and divisions of national builders you’ll drive demand for IKO products through product and program presentations.  
  • Collaborate.  You’ll coordinate with regional managers and territory sales personnel while attending meetings and functions in an effort to continuously deliver on sales targets.  Similarly, you’ll work closely with local TSR or RSM to understand market pricing conditions.
  • Educate. You’ll perform product knowledge training sessions with targeted customers to help them understand the many ways IKO can help in their endeavours.
  • Partner.  You’ll be a key account manager at our national distribution partner.

What you bring

  • The education.  A two or four year college degree is strongly preferred.
  • The experience.  Five years prior sales experience with demonstrated success in your current and previous roles.
  • The communication skills.  We’re looking for a sales person with excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication skills.
  • The collaborative mindset.  This role requires someone with the ability to work effectively on their own as well as in a team environment.
  • The desire to travel.  This role will require travel from time to time throughout North America.
