The opportunity

We are currently seeking a Shipping Supervisor to join our team at our new plant in Hillsboro, TX. This role is integral to the success of our facility.  You’ll have the opportunity to be involved across many processes and will be responsible for distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling, maintenance and administrative activities.  This is a role for someone with an incredible work ethic and ability to multi-task.

Our new Shipping Supervisor will be a key element to ensuring our expectations to drive quality, service and efficiency to achieve product delivery at the lowest possible cost is met every day.

Who we need

You are an experienced Shipping Supervisor who thrives in ever-changing environments. Someone with an impeccable attention to detail and a track record of high performance in a shipping and receiving environment.  You know how to engage the workforce and lead a team and you are highly approachable and personable. What you will do

  • Ensure an efficient end-to-end shipping process.  You will utilize planning and organizational skills to coordinate the shipping team to effectively maximize their time as it applies to shipping and staging of all outbound shipments.
  • Oversee daily activities.  You will be responsible for ensuring daily activities at the facility are completed including labor scheduling, supervision and proper utilization of space and equipment.
  • Collaborate.  You will interact with administrative and management staff to facilitate inventory control, shipping and receiving process changes and improvements.
  • Ensure documentation accuracy.  You will ensure documentation for all shipments is completed accurately and timely according to respective government regulations, company policy, and customer specifications.
  • Manage inventory.  You will be responsible for ordering granules, wrappers and fiberglass in support of Production.  You will also lead and participate in Quarterly inventory process.
  • Exceed customer expectations.  You will plan distribution services including receiving, storing, shipping, handling, maintenance and administrative activities to ensure customer requirements are met.

What you bring

  • The experience.  You have five or more years experience in a shipping supervisory role or relevant experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • The communication skills.  You can communicate effectively with all levels of employees, supervisors, and managers using both verbal and written communication.
  • An eye for the details.  You have unparalleled attention to detail and organizational skills.  The accurate and timely completion of your responsibilities is of utmost importance to our facility.
  • An entrepreneurial spirit. This is a role for a self-starter.  You will wear multiple hats and balance your time across a number of activities.
  • The leadership skills.  You have a proven track record of building relationships, fostering healthy work environments and facilitating the success of your team.
  • An enthusiasm for an ever-changing environment.  In our industry, no month is the same.  The ability to manage the ebb and flow of inventory and shipping requirements will be crucial to the success of our new Shipping Supervisor.
